Upgrade Windows XP Service Pack 2 to Service Pack 3

At times you face a problem when you buy a software or hardware and you come to know that your System does not meet the requirements. And at some times it asks for Service Pack 3 instead of Service Pack 2.
This creates many problems many times. You go looking around the market or search on the Internet which all takes a lot time.

But now I'm providing to you a quick and free solution to the problem. All you have to do is a quick registry editing and it will your problem in seconds.

Just follow these steps:-
  • Click on Start Menu
  • Click on "Run..."
  • Type "regedit" in there, without Quotes.
  • Press Enter.
  • A new Window : "Registry Editor" will open.
  • Click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  • Click on System
  • Click on ControlSet001
  • Click on Controls
  • Click on Windows
  • Now change the value of key CSDVersion to 300.
  • After doing that go to  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  • Then System - ControlSet001 - Controls - Windows
  • And here also change the value of key CSDVersion to 300.
  • Now restart your computer.
You will now be able to install the software that required Windows XP Service Pack 3.
